I'm here. Damn, it's a lot tougher to check in over weekends with my kids than I thought it would be. I'm still a little concerned about the whole insurance thing, but not as much as earlier. I should be pretty consistent about checking in during the week, but weekends may be hit or miss. Don't start wondering unless you don't hear from me on Mondays.

Please do not think this is facetious, PBF. Have you thought about a companion animal? I am not saying a cat replaces a marriage. But you will have someone to come home to who will be happy to see you. Believe me, as one who has had a LOT of bad times, I do know the value of a cat (or several). When everything else sucks, Orlando will still purr when I pet him.

Since PBF is currently living in an apartment, a cat (or small animal) would be more suitable than a dog. However, it is up to PBF if and what type of companion to be adopted by (if a cat) or adopt (if a dog).

I know not all dogs are huge, but even small dogs need to relieve themselves, so they have to either be walked or have a yard. A cat just needs a box with sand. A caged animal uses a corner of the cage.

My parent's calico used the toilet.

Who needs a pet when you have the internet. I or one of the posters here will always be ready to welcome you home and keep you company in the evening.

And we don't need to be let outside or have our box or cage cleaned.
