In recent weeks I have enjoyed the varied off topic threads, and I respect both opinions especially about serious topics such as our government. But quotes like that above, where phrases such as "pathological hatred" are used, well that completely results in a one sided statement of ignorance.

I think the reason for Bush's low approval rating is that "most" Americans are waking up to the realization of problems and disaster that have been created by our current administration. It has nothing to do with liberal viewpoints or conservative fundamentals it all comes down to the current, grim reality that is America. We have "insane" national debt right now, and have no exit plans for the main reason for that debt. While problems here at home have not been changed at all since the Clinton administration, instead things such such as the Patriot Act and the No child left Behind Act, amongst other is the reason for you so called, "Bush Hatred". None of these "haters" are insane instead they are starting to wake up and realize that we need change.

The other part of the answer is that since liberalism is inherently flawed, a lot of folks reject it out of hand and scoff at what their professors are telling them. Common sense still prevails in many cases.

The hell you say. I saw indoctrination of one kind or another constantly at Berkeley. In ways subtle and not-so-subtle, professors in every dept. are forced to toe the line politically or risk their standing among their colleagues. I promise you there is not one conservative professor in the Berkeley English Dept. They simply don't hire that "kind."

Hi again Talkhard, its R-Star here. I guess you didnt see the previous times I had asked, so Ill ask again.

What is your view on the current debt in America?

Re: The insanity of Bush hatred

I try not to hate people but I could not help but to hate the man after the Carla Faye Tucker story. This is beyond whether you are for or against the death penalty. Even if I was for the death penalty I would at least be a bit mindful of a guy who as governor executed more prisoners than any governor in modern American history.

We do have a few rational conservative pundits in our media. Tucker Carlson proved to be one of them by at least exploring why Bush was so cool with lethal injections. So he ask Bush if he ever met with any of the executed prisoners. Bush gave him the black woman’s attitude neck roll and said, “No, I didn't meet with any of them". Bush goes on "I didn't meet with Larry King either when he came down for it. I watched his interview with Tucker (Carla Faye), though. He asked her real difficult questions like, 'What would you say to Governor Bush?'" So Tucker Carlson then ask what did she say, and Bush puts a stupid look on his face like he is mimicing her and says, “Don’t kill me, don’t kill me.”

Right there he should have been disqualified. That is a red flag from hell. That had 1 million dead Iraqi citizens writen all over it. That right there was the guy who isnt concerend with Osama Bin Laden.

It gets worse. Tucker Carlson and a couple local Texas conservatives did something a lot of conservative pundits don’t do. They fact checked. They found that Carla Faye Tucker never asked Bush for any kind of clemancy in the interview. Bush made it up. That right there was a red flag from heaven and hell. That had “Heck of a job Brownie” writen all over it, that right there was the president joking around looking under the table for WMDs while our real soldiers are wearing gas mask in the desert looking for them again while real weapons are being looted to be used agaisnt them. That right there was the guy who invaded Iraq not just oblivious to the potential power struggle between Sunni, and Shiite’s he didn’t even know they were sects of Islam.

God bless their non paritsian sole these were conservatives that reported this story.

For a sitting public official to mock a woman that’s been put to death and to actually vaunt from goveneor to US President is sad indication that America failed itsself. Everything we are about failed.

We are worried about whether or not Obama sports a broach everyday and we let this son of a ***** in office. Are you kidding me?

This is the same guy who grants clemency for Scooter Libby. You better believe I hate this beast. If I saw him in person I would have to be restrained. If he was assassinated tomorrow I would call it the work of Jesus.

Guess it depends on how you look at it.

--This last quarter, the U.S. economy posted its strongest quarterly growth in four years. The GDP was a pretty incredible 3.9 percent annual rate.

--Inflation, at 2.1 percent for the last year, is actually slowing down.

--The tax cuts of 2003 have actually helped expand the national income.

--Unemployment is holding steady; about 125,000 new jobs were created in October.

--Exports of American goods and services are booming, and helping to cancel out the real estate slump.

--The stock market has reached historic highs in the last couple of months.

--And of course we still have the strongest economy in the world

woah now, even if you feel that way, it's not really appropriate to say it 2k (besides the fact it just feeds into talkhards stereotype of "liberals").

"On June 13, 1983, having spent the day doing drugs with her boyfriend, [Karla Faye Tucker] entered the home of another biker with Danny Garrett and James Leibrant to steal a motorcycle. During the robbery, two people were killed; Jerry Dean was hit numerous times with an axe until he died, as was Deborah Thornton.

At one point, a witness entered the bedroom to find Tucker attempting to pull the axe out of Dean by using her foot on him as leverage. After she pulled the axe from his body, she lifted it above her head, smiled at the witness, and swung it into Dean again.

Tucker and Garrett then used the axe on Deborah. When Deborah begged for the end to her pain, Garrett embedded the axe in her throat. Tucker later expressed satisfaction about her actions when news of the case was broadcast on TV and boasted to others of her actions. Garrett and Tucker were convicted of committing murder with a pick axe.

During Tucker's trial, a tape recorded by Garrett's brother while wearing a wire was played on which she claimed that she had multiple orgasms during the killings.

I thought liberals were bleeding hearts who didn’t hate. When stereotypes contradict each other we should take a step back and see them for what they are.
