I always figured Obama comes across more sincere and well spoken making debates favorable to him. And the more debate experience with Hillary will help in the series of presidential debates to follow.

The way I see it, Obama has the nomination all but sewn up. The only way he can lose is if he makes a big enough mistake to cause the superdelegates to suddenly see him as being unelectable, causing them to throw their support to Hillary. Debates, by their nature are a kind of a crapshoot for candidates since they can't completely control the line of questioning. I don't think Obama enjoyed getting grilled on the Reverend Wright issue or "bittergate" at the last debate because those two issues tend to hurt him on the electability point. My bet is that, with his insurmountable lead, he wants to play the rest of the primaries pretty safely and stay out of situations where he can't control the message. Hillary, on the other hand, can't lose by debating. At least she gives herself a chance by putting her opponent on a stage where he could make a mistake.
