Hmmm...I wonder who will get all the votes once one of the democratic canidates drops out?
You're getting excited over nothing Talkhard. Based on those numbers, the democrates are getting twice the votes as the Republicans. The numbers actually show that John McCain has NO CHANCE IN HELL.

Just for the record, it's okay with me if McCain doesn't wear a flag pin. He earned his patriotic credentials as a POW in Vietnam, where he was tortured by the Vietcong for 4 years and yet refused to abandon his fellow soldiers. He's earned the right to hold his head up high as an American.
Obama, on the other hand, better start putting American flags all over his body if he wants to even have a chance at his parties' nomination, much less the general election. HIS patriotic credentials are very much in doubt.

I actually said it for Cake lady's entertainment. I didn't expect you to read it (or care actually) because it was pretty trivial in nature.

The same Rasmussen polls that had Karry ahead by a significant margin (2-4 points) going into the 2004 elections. Not in March...in November.
If this is the first election you've followed, allow me to enlighten you: The polls will change a number of times until the election. Considering the Democrats don't even have an official candidate to rally support, and that non-existent-as-yet candidate has yet to campaign for the general election, this lead means less than even normal leads mean.
But as I noted in another thread, you're simply trying to troll. Even you don't believe that this is terribly meaningful.

By November people will be so united in their disgust for this evil occupation that McCain's "stay the course for eternity" mantra will bring him down in flames.

You really believe this? I don't know if the present poll numbers will hold very long or not, but I'd say if you have this many people leaning towards McCain right now, it's a pretty good sign that Iraq is NOT going to be a major factor in the general election.

You keep saying I'm "trolling," but I'm really not. I do post contrary ideas (at least around here), but it's more to introduce an alternate point of view than to outrage you. I actually hope to change minds just a little bit, not to piss people off. (Though I recognize that happens, too.)

almost as funny when he was in iraq the time before this, said how everything's so much better, so much safer, and he goes to the marketplace surrounded by hundreds of soliders, humvees and a helicopter over head.

it dont matter, kerry never got captured, saved lives and bush dodged the draft and BUsh still won.....McCain turned his back on the troops when he talked about how great we were treating our soldier when they returned, only to have the walter reed fiasco soon after.......McCAin talks about how he doesnt support torture cuz it means our troops in turn will be harmed.......then Bush goes on to veto a law to ban waterboarding and McCAin says nothing.......now he's trying to confuse us that Shia sunni are the same, as are al qaeda and iran.
