McCain takes big lead over Obama and Clinton
It would appear that the Democrats have officially sunk their own ship. After all the race-baiting, infighting, and anti-Americanism spewing from their camp over the last several weeks, America has taken a look at both Democrats and uttered a collective "ugh!"
The result? John McCain has surged into a big lead over both Obama and Clinton in the latest Rasumussen poll:
Quote:
|
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows John McCain’s lead growing against both potential Democratic opponents. McCain currently leads Barack Obama 49% to 42% and Hillary Clinton 51% to 41% margin (see recent daily results). African-American support for Clinton has collapsed, falling to 55% in the general election match-up. Obama, on the other hand, earns solid support from African-American voters but attracts only 36% of white voters in a match-up with McCain.

Re: McCain takes big lead over Obama and Clinton
It's a long time until November, and it is pretty easy to come up with examples of people who led in the polls in March and didn't get elected. You'd be wise to not count your chickens quite yet.

Yes, and they're going to keep changing in McCain's favor as long as Obama and Clinton keep slugging it out, which will last until the convention. Then, when Bill and Hill steal the nomination from Obama (they'll make the argument that Obama is now unelectable), all hell will break loose. There will be rioting in the streets, and black Americans will refuse to vote for Hillary, which will hand the election to McCain.

Re: McCain takes big lead over Obama and Clinton
Are you really naive enough to think that Mccain is going to keep getting this preferential treatment by the media? Yes he is enjoying the Democrats tearing themselves apart, but I prefer those problems coming to play right now rather than in the General election, something that may work to the democrats' advantage

Heh, heh. I don't know, but anything is possible. The media is probably sick of the Democrat fighting and may actually be starting to turn in McCain's favor. He's looking good compared to the two idiots on the other side.

Re: McCain takes big lead over Obama and Clinton
Well for once I agree with you. I am an Obama supporter and I am beginning to get discouraged with the whole process, on the other hand I just can't support Mccain who is going to continue Bush' failed policies for the next 4 to 8 years.

Could someone kindly ask Talkhard what he thinks of the fact that McCain does NOT wear an American flag pin?

Interesting . . . do you interpret Bush's low approval rating the same way . . . America's collective "ugh!"

You guys really get your panties in a knot over me, don't you? It's too funny.
Just for the record, it's okay with me if McCain doesn't wear a flag pin. He earned his patriotic credentials as a POW in Vietnam, where he was tortured by the Vietcong for 4 years and yet refused to abandon his fellow soldiers. He's earned the right to hold his head up high as an American.
Obama, on the other hand, better start putting American flags all over his body if he wants to even have a chance at his parties' nomination, much less the general election. HIS patriotic credentials are very much in doubt.

Re: McCain takes big lead over Obama and Clinton
That is easy. Neither one of them is attacking him yet. Once things get to head on head, it will tighten up.
