Re: Two interesting articles (Re: Rev Wright)
Hap's last post is precisely what I was thinking. I mean lets be real here, the majority of people who read that book are probably whites. Obama is smart enough, especially since he is a politicain to not suggest he wants to cleanse his white blood

My God, that's an ignorant statement. What I fear is radical leftists in positions of power, not black people. I actually admire people like Condoleeza Rice and Colin Powell and Thomas Sowell and Larry Elders, all of them black and all of them very intelligent and sensible people who have not bought into the racism and hatred of Obama and his pastor.
Your own reduction of everything I say into simple categories and stereotypes is truly pathetic. It just goes to show the weakness of your arguments, which I have come to expect over the years.

Re: Two interesting articles (Re: Rev Wright)
Which is more ridiculous:
a. Talkhard's attempt to psychoanalyze Barack Obama through parsed quotes?
b. Yega's attempts to have a scientific argument?
If you play Revolution #9 backwards, it says "Paul is dead". What more proof do we need?

What's really ridiculous is the Left's attempt to ignore or deny all the racist and controversial things Obama has said. It's as if there's a big white elephant in the room, and everybody's staring at it, except for the Lefties, who are all screaming, "There's no white elephant in here! It's all in your head!"

Dude, you just posted an article that compared Barack Obama's autobiography to Mein Kampf.
When you (and Ann Coulter) are ready to have a real discourse, I have a feeling you'll find more open ears.
I'd also like to ask, once again, what are we afraid of? Do you really honestly believe that Barack Obama is going to declare war on whitey or something? You expect a guy to grow up black in America and not talk about it in his autobiography?
These quotes that are supposed to be evidence of Barack Obama's vitriol towards white people are being so obviously misconstrued its ridiculous... I would love to introduce you to the wide world of metaphors.
And maybe with an open mind you could read Barack's book... you know, from the beginning to the end, and see what he's talking about.
Or, you could continue comparing him to a Nazi.

Dude, you are way behind the times. I replaced that original link hours ago with a different one, just to pacify all of you who can't even listen to an argument if it comes from Anne Coulter. There are plenty of links to this quote from Obama's book, but of course a lot of you who object to having it revealed in the first place are attacking the source rather than discussing the quote itself.

I heard something very interesting on talk radio this evening coming home from work. Two women, both Democrats, called in and said that they were alarmed at Obama's statements about race and his relationship with the Rev. Wright, and that if he got the Democrat nomination they were going to vote for McCain. Maybe you should ask these good Democrats what they are afraid of??

Uh, huh. Go sit in one of Rev. Wrights' sermons and ask yourself if all of that racist language is just a "metaphor." I'll guarantee you it's not, and I'll guarantee you his congregation believes it and takes it very seriously. I've seen interviews with the members of his church, and they are very angry people.
