UN Official wants new investigation of 9-11
UN Official Kevin Falk calls for new investigation:
An official in the newly formed UN Human Rights Council has called for a fresh investigation into the events of 9/11 in order to examine the possible role that neoconservatives may have played in the attacks. http://infowars.net/articles/april20...08Official.htm

Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."

Even though I share some of Falk's views relative to the Iraq invasion, I honestly think he is the kind of bigot who does the cause more harm than good.
Religious fundamentalism is a terrible threat to world peace and human rights. Falk seems to think that that statement only applies to christians and jews. Religious fanatics in the moslem world are just as dangerous any other kind!

Christian fundamentalism has caused a lot more damage though. In my view, it is partially responsible for putting and keeping the current regieme in power. On the other hand, it's possible that these events would have taken place anyway, but 9-11 and the Iraq war have Bush/Dick fingerprints all over them.
People in our country view the soldiers we're fighting in Iraq as "Islamic fundamentalists", "terrorists", "Al-qaida", but we'd we be fighting a forgien power that invades us for no reason? The CIA built Osama Bin Laden to be a boogie-man, so that they could then get America behind constant war in the Middle East. Even though that, in itself is ridiculas, the America people buy it. Most Muslims oppose the war and violence, while most christians SUPPORT it.
But really, the problem is oppressive regimes and goverments, more so than religion.

Re: UN Official wants new investigation of 9-11
Whatever the reason, I don't see how ANY American can object to a real full-scale investigation of 9/11.
Unless, of course, they were involved in making it happen somehow.
It has been totally white-washed in every way so far, and very little factual evidence of anything at all has been documented.
Just one more way our "President" has failed to serve and protect us.

Re: UN Official wants new investigation of 9-11
No one talked about the article, including Yega's response, so I'll paraphrase Steve Watson, who is a good writer.
Richard Falk is a Professor of International Law Emeritus at Princeton University and an expert on human rights. Falk has published books and essays analyzing the legality of military operations. A year ago he participated in the Citizens' Hearing on the Legality of the Iraq War, which the media covered up. Falk previously penned the preface to Prof. David Ray Griffin's 2004 book The New Pearl Harbor, in which the theologian catalogued scores of unexplained facets and inconsistencies in the 9/11 story.
The UN's new Human Rights Council assigned Falk a position on March 26. His role is to report on human rights in the Israel vs. Palestinian conflict. Israel announced Tuesday that it will deny Falk a visa to enter Israel, Gaza and the West Bank, so that he can't do his job fully. Despite Israel's blockage of UN programs such as this, everyone expects the UN will roll over and allow Israel to continue to be a UN member.
Former UN Ambassador John Bolton, the one whom Congress opposed so Bush appointed him while Congress was out of session, commented on Falk's appointment, "This is exactly why we voted against the new Human Rights Council." Bolton is clearly worried that council members are legal experts who recognize war crimes. Since the fall of the Soviet counterbalance to the U.S., UN interests have better followed American foreign policy. In criticizing Israeli treatment of Arabs within its borders, Falk has said, "If this kind of situation had existed for instance in the manner in which China was dealing with Tibet or the Sudanese government was dealing with Darfur, I think there would be no reluctance to make that comparison."
Falk, who is more qualified than any regular on CNN or MSNBC talk shows but appears to be blacklisted by them, had to appear on a radio show no one has heard of on March 24 to advocate an investigation into 9/11. He mentioned a couple of sentences about neoconservatives.
