Wow.....

This seems pretty outrageous regardless of your position on abortion....

Re: Wow.....

Sounds like she just kept getting boned and then aborting.

Disturbing, and while in her right, it's a rather disturbing thing to do. I'm no fan of abortion (and the only case where I'd have a say is if I'm the father, imho), but karma is gonna come back and bite her.

I think the article said she was artificially insemenated. Yep, that's tuition money well-spent...

Speaking of disturbing "art" displays at our universities, check out this story. It makes one weep for America.

Re: Wow.....

To me, both of these instances seem to be the "artistic" equivalent of trolling. Create an artiface so stupid, so shocking, so worthless that one's first instinct is to pay attention and respond. The fact that one responds doesn't mean the expression itself has any worth or value whatsoever.

Just like the O-Live Blazer forum, this kind of demonstration is best ignored. Eventually, the person will give up in frustration from not elicting the response for which they're looking.

For anyone that has an interest in these kinds of works, I would encourage you to see Neil LaBute's "The Shape of Things". He also wrote "In The Company of Men" which is also excellent, but is on a different subject.

It's sort of hard to ignore two men performing oral sex on each other as you're strolling across campus . . .

That's what makes it so effective. This guy is clearly a really good troll.

I was a bit confused by that...she said she got them tested, but if they're in the "system", they're already tested...

That's one thing, regardless of my personal political leanings, that bugs me. Not necessarily that someone does something I don't agree with, but that it sure seems to me that they're just pushing the envelope TO push the envelope.

Aborted babies aren't art. Political point or not.

That's why I put the word "artistic" in parentheses.

Re: Wow.....

Well, OK, now we know it's a sham. She never took a pregnancy test, never took any known abortifacient. Seems to be pics of menstrual blood. She had her 15 minutes of fame. NARAL Pro-Choice America rightly said this adds nothing to the discussion about abortion. Nothing to see here. Time to move on ... I think there's a war going on somewhere.

A virtual bouquet to anyone who recalls the origin of the phrase "15 minutes of fame".

Ooh! Ooh! I know...Andy Warhol said it.

Can I have virtual chocolates instead of the bouquet?
