No, subs get more pay, since they're paid per day, and not on a yearly salary.

Thanks for playing. Like I said, a for a know it all, you sure seem pretty lost most of the time.

You are right. In the grand scheme of things, this is nothing. I never argued otherwise and this is only a minor point of contention. But this is a fun exercise for me. How I interpreted the press released by a university renown for training top notch lawyers is totally different than the interpretations of supporters of Obama. I ignored all the superfluous and courtesy language( "regarded as" or "served as") and paid attention to only the facts(ie formal title). It's an argument of semantics and a formal title is as good as it gets semantically. The students who have attended Obama's lectures regarded him as a professor. Even I regard him as a professor. He has the credentials, chops, and he certainly taught at University of Chicago. But technically, HE WAS NOT A PROFESSOR. There is a difference. And when it comes semantics, that makes all the difference.

Tanks for playing. Like I said, a for a know it all, you sure seem pretty lost most of the time.
I wasn't going by the day. So you are saying they make more per year than regular teachers? ROFL. The point was substitute teachers have a different paying scale than full time teachers. Thanks for confirming this.

Every sub? No. Its hard to explain it to you if you're under the assumtion that all subs make the exact same pay, and all full time teachers make the exact same pay. I find it nothing short of hillarious when you try to talk down to other posters. You've come up with no semblance of intelligence, you just post 1 or 2 sentences saying the same thing over and over again.

Look up the average day rate for subs and then look up the average teachers salary. My wife works and average of 4 days a week. If you'd wish, I can get a calculator for you.
In your own words, thanks for playing.

Someday, when I can afford to waste the 18,000 dollars on gas it would cost me (thanks George), I want to take a driving trip during the summer, to all the smaller towns that house WHL teams.

Kamloops, Red Deer, Medicine Hat, Saskatoon, Moose Jaw, Swift Current, Lethbridge and most importantly, Brandon (Roy).

I'm old school WHL, not this new age wussification they've done to it. Adding teams in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and the rest.

In your own words, thanks for playing.
Here, let me illustrate my point lucidly for you to understand:

substitute teacher = pay scale B
full time teacher = pay scale A
... all things being equal
Therefore, substitute teacher does not equal full time teacher. You just confirmed she is being paid on a different scale. Thanks for making my point for me.

Wow, you're ridiculous. Its almost as though you need to talk yourself into your own idea's when you post. The conversation was "ROFL, a sub cant make more than a full time teacher" now its "They arent the same because they have different pay scales."
Im not sure why you think you're fooling anyone, but posting methods like this are pretty transparent and a dime a dozen. Improve, then try again.

I used to watch the WHL back in the day, but after going to highschool with most of the Rebels team, I learned to hate my hometown team when they all got a free pass through school. Cam Ward was a pretty nice guy though, he is married to my buddys bestfriends sister. They play golf quite a bit and he has them over in Carolina. Doug Lynch was also a great guy, smart as well. Used to let me copy his homework if I wasnt done. Dion Phaneauf is one of the biggest *******s I'ver ever met. He just used to walk around town saying "Dont you know who I am?" if anyone said something he didnt like. I've heard hes just as bad in Calgary.

Re: Obama: 50 Lies and Counting

It would be funny for a junior hockey league player, especially in a town like Portland, to think he was the **** of the walk.

I don't know if that is the case here (it probably is)..but it's a junior league hockey team in a hugely blazer town. I know some here knew winterhawks when they were in high school, so they might be able to say how humble or not the guys were.

But seriously..you're a hockey player on a league 90% of Portland doesn't care about. Get over yourself.

Oh, you didn't know? Subs only have to be high school grads and don't count as actual teachers. If a then b, man..if a then b!

Swahili (properly called "Kiswahili") is derived from a combination of Arabic, indigenous Bantu languages, Indian languages, Portuguese, and even English. It's a patois.

More specifically, "baraka" is the same in Arabic as it is in Kiswahili, and since Kenyans speak Kiswahili, rather than Arabic (though there's a small minority who can speak both), I would say that it is in fact TRUE that Obama's family borrowed from the common Kiswahili word for "blessing," rather than from Arabic.

There's a common Kiswahili proverb that I think might serve this political season well: "Haraka, haraka haina baraka." It means, roughly: "hurry, hurry gets no blessing."

Take your time and check your facts, please.
