That argument is a red herring without regard to history. Don't forget, the Jews were there first. And what do you expect the reaction of a country to be when it has been in a state of war with a group of countries for 60 years?

I don't want to hijack this thread with discussions on Israel. But you can't seriously be suggesting that the forced displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their ancestral homeland and subsequent persecution of the remaining population is just a distraction from the larger issue that "the Jews were there first."

It's Jewish self-government and self-determination. The Right of Return would invalidate both of those concepts.

What else is there to say? Politicians make gaffes on the campaign trail. Obama has been lauded and hailed as the greatest orator of this generation. McCain has been characterized by Obama's team as senile and too old for the presidency. Guess who has making more mistakes whether it's a gaffe, misstatement, ignorant statement, or a flat out lie?
