If he thinks running for president is stressful, imagine him being in office? It is a very bad message for young kids to have a smoking president in the White House.
Maybe I am being overly critical of smokers. I know I am not the only one. A lot of the public feels the same way towards smokers. It is not a positive thing, thats for sure

So because Obama smokes he shouldn't be the next President of the United States?

Re: Obama Smokes
here's kind of a funny article on the subject:
Quote:
Americans who make between $24,000 and $36,000 a year smoke at twice the rate of those earning $90,000 or more. The same applies to Americans with a high-school education rather than a college degree. Rural Americans smoke more than city-dwellers. As for race, there’s a close correlation between states with high rates of white smokers and those where Mr. Obama polled worst in the primaries. Leading the pack of smoking states are Kentucky and West Virginia; industrial states like Ohio aren’t far behind.
Bottom line: small-towners in the Rust Belt and Appalachia don’t cling to guns and religion so much as they do cigarettes.
By rejoining them, Mr. Obama would also touch voters in several heavy-smoking swing states: Michigan, Missouri and Nevada. Added bonus — Virginia and North Carolina, two leading tobacco-producing states, are both in play this election.

who would've thought that risking lung cancer could be a political opportunity? show everybody you're not an elitist, Obama, and suck that cancer stick.

Well, you are just plain wrong about that. There are quite a number of people who drive drunk for years and years and never have accidents or get arrested. Both are possible outcomes of drunk driving, but neither one is definitely going to happen - in fact I'd guess the probabilities are fairly low.

A friend of mine drove drunk near every day of his life.
He got arrested 4 times that I know and totalled at least 3 of his cars (thankfully, 1 car accidents). Didn't faze him at all. His organs finally shut down and he died, or he'd still be driving drunk.
BTW, he was able to quit smoking at least.

Re: Obama Smokes
The best people I know are smokers. Smokers are the highest quality people on Earth. If we could smite nonsmokers dead and replace those in power with smokers, this world would be a better place. Think of all the famous people who smoked. The scientists, the politicians, the humanitarians, the lawyers, all the movers and shakers and self-sacrificers. John D. Rockefeller, Bill Gates, the Marquis of Canterbury, all the great leaders have smoked. I am tired of the leeches who pick on the doers and the contributors to our well-being. May lightning strike you on the nose. As for driving home from a bar, what are you supposed to do? Pitch a tent on the curb? Some street raccoon would probably crawl into your sleeping bag with you. Until the City runs bus service at 2 am from the bars to home, people will need to drive home then.
