US Open coverage...
I'm watching the US Open on ESPN right now. Chris Berman was talking about a 19-year-old amateur by the name of Kevin Tway and his caddie who is his father. I guess he is taking after his dad when it comes to golf. He the said something to the fact of "he plays and studies and Oregon State University..." He corrected himself saying sorry its Oklahoma State.
It usually goes the other way. Oregon St gets punked or they say Oregon wrong. Whatever but its nice to see it go the other way for once. Plus I'm sure there are a few people in Oklahoma that are upset about it and you know they still to this day hate our state. Even thought the reason why has nothing to do with these teams...
Just thought it was funny.
GO BEAVERS!!

Golf in HD is awesome....the Major tournaments are very entertaining IMO. However I rarely watch the first rounds. Better to wait for the weekend.

Re: US Open coverage...
Sorry, but not even HD can make golf "awesome". I'd rather watch HGTV (my wifes favorite channel) than golf!

Might was well watch home shopping network to...
j/k my girl watches HGTV to and I admit I have grown to like some of the stuff there.
Having played alot of golf and continously sucking at it I enjoy watching the pros play, some of the shots they hit are so amazing IMO.

Re: US Open coverage...
I love watching golf. My friends hate it but I can watch 4 days of a tournament easily. Plus I think Tiger is one of the best athletes today and I love watching him dominate.

Re: US Open coverage...
Man, I love Torrey Pines. I had no idea it was a public course. $42 for 18 holes? I'll tell you what, the next time I'm in SoCal on business, I'm bringing my sticks!
As for my score, it's not so much that I'm a bad golfer, just that I like to maximize my swings per hole...that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Hell, I don't even golf (or know how to) and I'd play there for that cheap.
