Paris for Prez

Too funny:

Is it just me, or is her energy plan more lucid than either Obama's or McCain's?

Well, everything she said was written by Adam McKay...

Hey, at least he's funny...as opposed to Obama's and McCain's speech writers.

True,

But have you seen Step Brothers? Ouch.

Also, I'm not concerned with presidential speeches making me laugh. I thought it was cute when Bush's speeches did that, but the quickly just turned my chuckles into tears and fear.

That said, McCain was very funny on SNL

That's the first time I've actually found her somewhat attractive. (And I've seen her sex videos.)

It's like watching Kobe Bryant pull off a fantastic dunk. You're impressed, but you still feel dirty.

Re: Paris for Prez

Just take a shower after you smoke the cigarette. Actually, I was looking at her leg and seeing something dark that goes up it--a vein or a muscle or something. In the past, all I've noticed is her face--it looks exactly like a camel. I mean really, check out the nose, the drooping sleepy eyebrows, the starving cheekbones, the slim pointed chewing mandible--all she needs is a hump on her back full of water and spare fat for the winter. But Bush is funnier because he has the delivery down. Except that the moron act isn't credible, because how could you survive in life if you were that dumb, and besides, he has an MBA, so we know he has to be faking.

...he may have one, but do you really think he "earned" one and/or deserves one for that matter?!?!?!

He must have the talent, because look at how he's fooled us all into thinking he's dumb. That proves he's smart. I also think my garbageman Pedro is a genius, but that's just me.

If you ever get a chance, watch Bush in a press conference on CNN. They show him unannounced around noon every month or so. He acts like such a baboon that they hide his press conferences.

It's the easiest degree to get, just a matter of showing up. Is he breathing? Then I guess he's qualified.

Re: Paris for Prez

e-blazer, you and I are on exactly the same page. Using oil as a bridge is EXACTLY the right way to go. Drill everything we have, open up the EPA regulations against shale oil production in Colorado, limit oil use to mobile uses only and don't use them to fire power plants, start building the scrubbers that remove CO2 from the stacks in coal plants, start building nuclear plants everywhere (my back yard is available), put windmills right where Ted Kennedy and Walter Cronkite don't want them, let T. Boone make his investments and don't assume that we need to learn to live with less.

This country became great because we have a culture of innovation. Every time there's been a transition in the economy, we've increased our standard of living compared to the rest of the world. We started as an agrarian society, improved as an industrial society, improved even more as a technological society and if we get government out of the way will improve even more as a knowledge-based society.

He had a higher GPA than John Kerry, and no one accused him of faking anything. Also, it's tough to get by faking at HBS. They're a case method school, but unlike Darden, you work individually. Furthermore, 10%of each class is required to fail.

He may not be well-spoken, you may not like his policies, but he's not stupid. He's probably not a genius, either. However, the scale isn't binomial. In fact, the Democrats underestimating him likely made him a two-term president. It's a mistake too-often made by the either side. It happened with Lincoln, it happened with Carter, it happened with Reagan and it happened with Bush.

Re: Paris for Prez

Sorry, he is stupid. He didn't win in 2004 because Democrats underestimated him. He won because Republicans overestimated him. Actually, the smart Republicans already knew, but they kept their opinions secret until after the election. Then they started admitting what a failure he is.

As for rumors on conservative blogs that compare GPAs, I have yet to see source documents. I won't defend the indecipherable Kerry. In the Democratic primaries, Kerry came across as the second most conservative, after Lieberman. Bush's GPA is irrelevant to measuring his current intelligence because of his many years of cocaine addiction after college.

His IQ is 125. By no measure is that stupid. It's not genius, but it's above average. Through all that drinking, he managed to graduate from Yale and HBS. He "fooled" Texas into electing him Governor, "fooled" the Republican Party into nominating him and "fooled" the American people into electing him. Not bad for someone as "stupid" as you claim.
