i dont know, just brainstorming because this Tiago staying in is coming from nowhere and so is this speculation that a Shareef deal is near completion so maybe the two go hand and hand.....i have no clue, too much to think about.....thoughts?

some spanish guy has some site in spanish that is saying Tiago pulled out....so conflicting reports right now....guess we will have to just wait and see then

All I know is accoring to ESPN Insider, Chad Ford confirmed that Tiago was in. With the deadline today, I don't think he'd say such a thing unless it was in fact confirmed. I guess that's not a 100% for-sure guarantee though, which I now see is what you're looking for.

How does eligibilty work? Can't a player "walk on" and get a contract without getting drafted?

Only if they're eligible to be drafted. Splitter's young enough to determine whether he's eligible or not.

He can't opt out of the draft, though, and then join the NBA next year.
