I am sold on Big Al Jeff...Are you?
He just seems like a star in the making. I bet if he were Howard's height he would be the bonafide #1 pick, but none the less, he has wingspan, which is just as important. He seems very atheltic, and would gert a few minutes a night behind Randolph. I just hope Philly or GSW don't take him before us. I'd actually love a Telfair, Big Al Jeff draft. Young core, but still competing for the NW Division title.

Al Jefferson at the 5 would be a nice fit next to Randolph.
His standing reach basically lets him play like he's 7'0".
His standing reach is only an inch shorter than 7'3.5" Peter John Ramos, and 5 inches shorter than Yao Ming who has a 8 inch height advantage.
Pg: Telfair
Sf: Miles
Pf: Randolph
C: Jefferson

He could turn out great, could be a bust... too hard to tell. Definately worth a late pick, someone might take the gamble and he might not last long enough.

Jefferson is only a 1/2 inch shorter than howard, do you feel that is the difference between going middle first round and going #1?

We'd be the laughing stock of the draft if we took Telfair at 13.
The only guys I'm "sold on" in this draft is: B.Gordon, L.Jackson, D.Wright, Snyder, and maybe JR Smith.

How in the heck can you be "sold" on Dorrell Wright more than Al Jefferson? Seriously, Wright is the one player who makes you salivate and cringe all at the same time.
I scour the web pretty thoroughly to feed my draft addiction and you know what strikes me as odd about Dorrell Wright?
They all say the same damm thing! He has only played bball for a few years, extremely fluid & athletic but raw. Not to mention I have read very little on his workouts, nor have I seen any video on him. I am not nearly as sold on him as I am other players. Not saying you couls be ahead of the curve here, but Wright is really an unknown IMO, maybe that is what makes him so enticing.
As for Al Jefferson, yeah he looks really impressive. POR keeps saying they are going to go guard (most likely SG) with their first pick. Who knows if they are bluffing or not?

I first read this title as
'I am sold on Big Al, Jeff'
and thought you were talking to me directly.
And, yes, the reports on Al make him sound pretty good.

nope... I think his back will be an issue for him his entire career.
I havent read that much about Al Jefferson, so I have no reason to be sold or not on him... I dont have the time to read up on all the guys in the draft... sorry.

Right now, my hope is for Biedrins and Jefferson. Maybe Ramos, P. Pod, or Swift too. The problem is I can't see Phoenix, Toronto, Philly, Cleveland, Golden State, or Seattle passing up on these bigs. Maybe Harris, Nelson, Jackson, Josh Smith, JR Smith, Snyder, Wright, Monya, or even Telfair being selected before those above bigs would push them down, but I doubt it.
If Portland wants Biedrins or Jefferson, they'll have to offer #13 and something else. At that point I don't know if it's worth it. I think I'm more interested in Biedrins. If we sent the #13 and next year's draft pick (or Woods, or our second rounder), I think it would be well worth it.
