Rocky Mountain Review and Telfair
If Telfair really struggles in summer league play, we shouldn't jump to any conclusions. Remember last year, Kirk Heinrich was absolutely horrible in summer play. Now look at him, I think it's safe to say he's Chicago's best player.

We should jump to conclusions? I think you meant to say shouldn't.....no biggie...you do have a valid point.

I agree that if Telfair looks bad, it'll be too early to blame him or the Blazers for anything... he IS a guy who's just exiting high school, after all.
On the other hand, if he has brilliant stretches, it's just good news. The summer league is really no-lose for Bassy this year.
Compare that to Woods who, if he plays, needs to dominate to reestablish himself as a good prospect for the Blazers. If he DOES dominate, it could be a been-there, done-that situation... but if he FAILS to dominate, it'll be a step backwards and maybe another step out of town.

Yes I heard that interview with John Nash too. It was a great point he brought up about Heinrich. I guess your 2 cents are his too....word for word. I'm more excited about seeing Outlaw's progression along with the Russian than Telfair.

Chances are slim that enough team defense will be played to stop Telfair or cause him to fail. However, I think Woods and Outlaw, with more experience, will see the bulk of action and be the focus of our offense. It is especially a "critical" summer for Woods. He might be gone as fast as you can say Erick Barkley!!
