I've been itchin to post on this thread since it started.

IMO it may be better to have a team that knows how to play together instead of a team that is learning how to play together.

Thumbs down Hard to believe but that we actually will be worse next season!

Going into this summer i felt good about returning to the playoffs because i thought our GM was up to the task....however at this point I do not see anybody out there who will help us for next season, infact 13th spot out west is likely with the warriors and sonics the only worse teams than us! it really is sad but its true....Miles is far away from a deal and who knows if he will be back. SAR seems like hes stuck here and it amazes me that our backcourt still isnt upgraded.....it BS for all those who say we have no money cause other teams get the players they want...SOME HOW, while it seems the blazers hope to get lucky!

THIS SUCKS...another year of watching the Blazers go to the lotto..i cant believe i thought this team looked great going into the offseason.

Foolish thinking and short-sighted. We still should feel good - because we upgraded our team last year - they just need time to play together. Secondly, foolish on your part to have "thought this team looked great", as we are REBUILDING! We are not a great team. We have some nice pieces at this point in ZBO, MILES and TELFAIR, and MONIA. That's it. Everything else is either trade-bait or expiring contracts, or just waste (woods and RP).

Nash WILL add another piece or two before the season starts. WATCH!

the Clippers, who probably will lose Richardson, are better?

fat chance.

what teams over the salary cap got players via FA? And who besides Houston (who gave up a player at a position the Magic weren't loaded with and probably were a destination McGrady wanted to go to) have made trades?

Answer: No one and No one.

Team:

Spurs: Under the cap, and potentially resigning Gino, and signed Barry.

Sonics: Lost Barry, and haven't made any upgrades really.

Kings: Haven't done anything that I know of. Have they?

Warriors: over paid players that weren't worth it.

Clippers: potentially losing Richardson, and not even realistically getting Kobe.

Lakers: potentially losing Shaq for Odom, Grant and maybe someone else (read: Unless Kobe goes absolutely nuts, the Lakers probably won't be better). They *HAD* to make this trade, and aren't doing to to move up in the standings.

Jazz: well under the cap and have made offers. nothing is concrete yet.

Suns: well under the cap and have added an older PG who's no spring chicken, and doens't play defense, and Richardson, who' s overrated by many people on this board.

Rockets: Upgraded via trade.

Mavs: re-signed their own FA, and lost their starting PG.

Hornets: Not sure if they've done anything outside of moving west.

T'wolves: haven't done anything I can think of. THey're over the cap.

Nuggets: made offers to some players, but so far haven't signed anyone cept Camby...I think.

Memphis: Haven't really done anything outside of get Cardinal.

so where are these teams who are doing so much, and how are the Blazers (who have the MLE and VM) supposed to be getting these free agents from these teams, who in all cases, could offer the FA a WHOLE lot more?

you change your mind more often than anyone on this board.
