Well playoff chances really finished now!
Utah, Denver, Suns are all ahead of us......infact WAY ahead of us while Nash continues to do NOTHING....maybe when we miss the playoffs for 2 staright years, Nash will then be fired nad we hopefully will compete again in the nba.......WTF is he doing?
i know you guys get on me abbout the sky is falling threads....but there is no way we are better than those 3 teams above and im not sure we are better than the sonics!!!
NASH BETTER GET HIS A$$ in gear...i dont care if its early July or not....they just got Boozer, Okur and giracek......we havent even resigned miles!
think about it seriously.....suns, jazz are getting solid players while we are counting on DA at SG and a midgit at PG...yah I cant wait for 04-05!

so Phoenix getting an aging defensive absent PG and maybe signing a crappy shooting SG makes them that much better?
And Denver re-signing an aging gimpy C for waaaaay too much money..and Utah really not signing any big name players (but a good role player) really isn't all that much of an improvement.
Lets wait till the blazers actually do or don't do something first.

Your level-headedness is truly calming in these times of calamity mixum
It certainly does look like other teams are getting better while Portland isn't doing much of anything, but we haven't even gotten to the point where teams can sign players yet. In other words, there's still plenty of time to go. Patience is a virtue.

Would you be able to post positive things if the sky was constantly falling? My theory is that Mixum just had a recent growth spurt and is now really really tall. So periodically Mixum looks up and sees the ceiling or a light post and freaks out.

I don't fear the Nuggets or Suns. But yea, the Jazz are better than us. They're better than most NBA teams.

You convinced me. I won't be watching any games this year and I'm leaving the board. See you all in 2 years....
OK, now that I have your attention....
mixum - How am I supposed to respond to a post like this? Do you seriously expect me to agree that the VERY BEST time to predict success/failure is in early July?
By this sort of thinking, not only would the Lakers have gone 70-12 this past year on the way to another championship, but Utah wouldn't have been anywhere near the playoffs, Dallas would have won the Midwest division and Milwaukee would have been at the cellar of the Central division.
But - NONE OF THOSE HAPPENED.
Maybe this is why they actually play a full season of basketball instead of putting a group of people into a room to predict success/failure before the July Moratorium has even ended.

Exactly, SoCal.
I know of NO ONE who picked the Pistons to win the 2004 title last July.
NO ONE.

In order to demonstrate the seriousness of the situation, I think that each and every day, until John Nash makes a trade, one of us should self-immolate in front of the Rose Garden.
That would really put the pressure on them to make a move.
By golly.
