sure, Fishers offensive capabilities may diminish on a team like the Blazers where you don't have a Shaq or Kobe drawing constant double teams. However, this is one of the few Lakers I actually respect. He plays hard-nosed defense ALL the time. How many times have you seen this guy up in opposing point guards grill way past the 3 point line?? all the time. He is a classy and tough player. I'm not sure where he would fit in within the system, but he is definately the kind of player i would welcome on the team.

Jackie...

First of all I posted in the wrong thread - thought I was putting that in the other Fisher thread.

Second of all, who said anything about the way Fisher acts? Not me.

Comparing him to Rasheed is ridiculous. Rasheed is a valuable player.

I have no idea what Fisher is like off the court and couldn't care less - I just know that on the court he's worthless if he doesn't have two dominant players to take the attention off of him.

Damon is already enough of an obstacle for Telfair to get minutes because he's such a whiner. Add another guy and the situation is worse. Trade Damon for him and you get terrible value for a large expiring deal...

The Knicks got Marbury for expiring deals and picks, we'd settle for Derek Fisher?!

Isn't it true that Damon might not be available next year?

Judge postpones Stoudamire's trial

Maybe we need a starter at pg?

Im sorry but saying Derek is worthless is just being blinded by the fact he was a laker.

The guy has hit MANY clutch shots, and plays good D if you like it or not IMO.
