Still a bad deal. They paid when they didn't have to. What free agents would they have missed out on over the next 15 days? Rasheed Wallace, maybe? I don't see what the big risk was. One pick or two, especially if they're Denver's picks would be plenty. I also don't think Kenyon Martin is the big answer for them, since they're left without a really good low-post scorer (Camby ain't it either), though he can definitely run with them.

I would not call 3 or 4 first round draft picks (2 of which are likely top 5) no players. Just think about who you would have drafted each of the last 5 years if you had the #2, #5, #12, #24 picks. thats a lot of very high ranked players with tons of potential.
