Telfair says debut goes 'pretty well'
Telfair impressed mostly with his ability to drive past his defender, then finish with difficult layups in traffic. Twice he made spinning, 360-degree drives to the basket, and two other times he simply beat his man off the dribble and completed the play at the rim while being contested by big men.
He did zip one nifty pass to center Nedzad Sinanovic, who made two free throws after being fouled, and he played steady defense, despite being faked out twice on crossover moves.
"The signs we see so far are very positive," assistant coach Jim Lynam said. "He is a very heady player."
Sounds like he had a good first time out with the Blazers. I am looking forward to seeing what he can do in a real NBA game!
