i mean they get rid of a vet center who is coming down from his prime and give up a player(curry) who they have pretty much given up on and they get a legit all star and a "development" player, which i say because he may never develope....

Damn, that would give Portland a potentially SICK bench.
PG: Nick Van Exel...Damon Stoudamire...Sebastian Telfair
SG: Derek Anderson...Trenton Hassell
SF: Darius Miles...Ruben Patterson...Travis Outlaw...Viktor Khryapa
PF: Zach Randolph...Antonio Davis
C: Theo Ratliff...Eddy Curry...Vladimir Stepania
Yes, I do think that Nick Van Exel will start and in this scenario I am assuming that the Timberwolves do not match the offer to Trenton Hassell. However, I think that they will.

i think with this trade and the signings of miles and hassel then the blazers could be a contender.

I think Chi Town would MUCH rather put Chandler in a deal rather than Curry. Chandler has had injury problems and Curry has motivational problems though has shown more promise than Chandler. Also, Chandler would be a much better compliment to Randolph than Curry would.

Sure I would do the trade. I think I'd rather get Chandler though. Under the proper mentoring from Theo and coaching from Tim Gurgrich (sp?), his potential is greater imo.

I seriously doubt that the Bulls would move Curry in this kind of deal... if they would, we should swallow AD's contract and roll the dice.

Ed, do you think it would be worth taking Davis' contract if it the deal were for Chandler?
I think that it would be if he passes a physical with flying colors...
This would work for me.
Shareef + Ruben = Chandler + Davis + Pargo
Pargo is a guy we could cut if we wanted to - his deal is small and expires and if Chicago wants him they could pick him right back up kind of like Augmon in the original Pippen deal.
NVE/Damon
DA/Hassell
Miles/Woods
Randoph/Davis
Ratliff/Chandler
Pineriders/IL: Telfair (for now), Outlaw, Khryapa, Stepania

Thanks but no thanks. I'm not ready to give up on either Chandler or Curry just yet.
Now if you can figure out a deal to make SAR part of a three way with New York that would break the logjam that has stalled the NY/Chicago Jamal Crawford S&T, we might be getting somewhere.
Remember that Paxson's greatest concern in the trade to date has been getting rid of AD and ERob's albatross contracts, getting back expiring deals and not taking on additional bad contracts.

Eddie Robinson (2 years,$14 million) + Tyson Chandler + Scottie Pippen To Portland
Shareef Abdur-Rahim + Qyntel Woods to Chicago
^ Just an idea, but the Blog did say Chicago is looking for a talented vereran bigman. So it could be possible.

No way the Bulls are that desperate to get rid of a big contract they'll give up Curry or Chandler essentially just for cap space next season.

I agree... I don't see Portland adding a big FA next summer, so if we have a chance to add a good prospect by taking on additional longer-term salary I think we should do it.
