We won't miss him much. As an advance scout, he didn't really seem to help prepare the team for opponents.

Good for DJ. I think he's taken a wise job here, if his real goal is to be a head coach someday.

I usually tend to feel that they screw quite a bit up, but this is one where I think it was best for both parties to part ways. DJ was not suited to be an advance scout. Whether or not he was good at it, I don't know. But I do know that his heart is in coaching, and he wasn't doing that with us. And we all know that when your heart isn't in to something, you tend to mail it in more times than not.

Good for DJ. And good for the Blazers. I seriously couldn't see DJ working that well with a "young whipper-snapper" like Pritchard anyway.

DJ will be a coach in the NBA again.

He just needs to develop his own style. Sometimes that takes guys some time. He will have more time with less pressure in the NBDL. If he is successful his name will start popping up again for NBA head coaching jobs.

It won't take long. The NBA coaching caurosel spins fast and all but Jerry Sloan seem to get thrown off quickly.
