I never really expected us to be a player in the FA sweepstakes this summer anyway. Next summer is when I expect the team will be a player in the FA field. However, as many of you know, I was completely SHOCKED at the Blazers idiotic draft strategy this summer. That is when we could have and should have put the building blocks in place for the future. We easily could have acquired both Al Jefferson and Sebastian Telfair in the draft. I am not optimistic about the team's future given the lack of discipline they displayed in the draft. If we get a good pick next summer it will most likely be mis-used.
