1) Nothing new to report on Woods. It may take a bit longer for the truth to come out on this one. If ever... We may never know exactly what happened. It seems Woods is sticking to his story, and the "witness" is sticking to theirs...
2) Woods is looking like a veteran out there. He's more confident on the court, and I think his attitude has improved off. He is definitely bigger, but Woods was always in good shape. I'm more worried about him sticking jumpers than I am him being ripped.

This is the best thing Cheeks could do for Bassy. Everyone knows he has potential, but he needs to be challenged to the fullest. This is the best way for him to learn.
It reminds me of when my dad taught me to play chess. He told me how it worked, and then we played matches together, and he beat me every time. I didn't beat him for like two years (I started when I was 4). But I learned a ton about how the game worked.
Same with Telfair. He's being thrown right in against veterans who know the game well, and he's no doubt gaining valuable experience doing it.

Yeah, actually I think Van Exel being slowed by his knee is turning out to be a blessing for Bassy. He's getting a lot more PT in skrimmages.

Nate, has Randolph's game progressed any? I heard M.Rice saying he's more clever in the low-post this year.

I don't think we'll really be able to tell until we start playing games, but I think he looks more comfortable out there. Like he's letting the game come to him. He looks like he's ready to be THE MAN. It's hard to say if this will carry over to live action though.. We'll see...

What's up with the media day pics? They don't have them up anywhere, not even at Getty Imagas!
Richie Frahm, will get be a contributer this year?
Also, what's Outlaw's position looking like? I've read he's more of a PF, and some even think he's versatile enough to play some 2.

As far as Outlaw goes, he WILL NOT play four. No way... He's too skinny. He's quick, a shooter, a slasher... Not a power forward.
Maybe shooting guard, but I don't think he could guard shooting gaurds....
Frahm is going to be good. This kid can SHOOT. He's a dead-eye. I also think he's much more versatile than people give him credit for. He's a real steal.

Ok guys, I'm going to try to address your questions....
Telfair did the best he could against Miles. Obviously it's not an easy cover. But Telfair busts his butt on defense. It doesn't matter who he's guarding.

James Lang.... Yeah.... I don't think this guy has a chance in hell of making the team. He's over weight, he's slow, he makes bad decisions... Not gonna stick.
|
Did we really sign him? Do you know anything about his contract? Is it guaranteed?

Damon is about 5'8 in shoes, Telfair is about 6'1... That's just my opinion. I've stood next to both of them, and I'm about 6'1. Telfair is eye to eye with me.
I hope that answers your questions. If you guys have any more, feel free to ask. That's what I'm here for....

Cheeks said he might give Darius some time at the point, but not very much. He stressed that sometimes the lineups he has on the floor during practice are just coincidence.

That seems to carry over to games, too.

Sure it would. Just ask Larry Brown and AI -- one practices what one does in the game. When, oh when, will there be a new coach at the reigns?

It is highly unlikely that Frahm will be much of a contributor this year. I believe Ed O. had some accurate comments on him in another thread regarding the fact that he is unlikely to improve much at the age of 27 years and that he has never been a consistent performer in games to this point in his career. The fact that he is making shots in training camp does not mean much.
