Cheeks on SAR and Darius.
"Abdur-Rahim was named the "Player of the Day" after Thursday's practice. "He did a little bit of everything," Cheeks said. "We put him at the three, and he could score, we put him at the four and he was comfortable, and he was a smart defender." . . . from the Oregonian.
"Cheeks envisions Miles having the same qualities of Pippen, a tall, lanky forward who at times played point guard. "There are certain times I like him having the ball. He's a big target and can see all over the floor," Cheeks said.- from the Oregonian.
I really think that Shareef is going to excel at the three this year, with Darius playing some 1 & 2 also. Shareef's defense has always been a bit underestimated. Remember, in his early days playing the three, he blocked almost 85-100 shots a year. Really, if SAR plays well, who has a better front court than a rotation of SAR, Zack, Darius, Theo, & Byl.
