What's so difficult about it? People who fight pit bulls take them to the fights and watch, don't they? Other people go to those fights, so that means you've got witnesses. And well-known local basketball heroes like Woods and Randolph would stand out at a dog fight. You can also check the dogs for signs of fighting, you can confiscate e-mail about the locations, times, etc. of dog fights, and you can look for literature on dog fighting in the home of the accused. You can also interview friends and relatives who may know about Zach or Qyntel's involvement. A guy who is fighting dogs is likely to tell his close friends about it. Seems to me this kind of crime doesn't present any huge problems for the police.

I'm not sure exactly what it would take to find a reasonable cause to file charges (betting slips? animal remains? multiple winesses?), but repeated bite marks probably aren't enough. Q reportedly has many Pits, and in that sort of situation, often the dogs fight it out to establish the order of the pack. Heck, my Sis and her husband (both Veterinarians) have 3 Border Collies and a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, and they scrap regularly, sometimes with very bloody results... the aging alpha male isn't taking his demotion in the pack order well. They live on a huge farm in Vermont and the dogs have it pretty good, but they still fight.

The other thing I find pointing to Q's possible innocence in this matter, is that reportedly "Hollywood's" ears were not cropped short for fighting.

Anyways, thats enough speculating from me, we'll find out what the authorities found soon enough.
