No charges for Q?
Has anyone heard the latest about Qyntel Woods?
I find it odd that no charges have been filed against him yet. Two searches and no charges? Not one piece of news about him? Does anyone else feel the same way? Or do many of you still think charges will be filed?
I hope a decision is made soon, so POR can either waive him or trade him. One way or another, I think his days as a Blazer are over.

I agree that his days here are most likely over, but if he's not charged with a felony, I'd like to see the team give him another chance.

....... in Cleveland or Miami for some picks or something, that would work for me.

I agree, I am not so concerned with losing Qyntel, but I would like to see him get traded for something. If he is charged by the police, the chances are POR just waives him, purely for PR concerns. If he is not, they will trade him and teams may offer something of use for POR, be it a 2nd round pick or a player.
I'd rather see POR get something for Woods, rather than just waiving him for nothing.

Good luck with that. Whether or not he is guilty of this offense, he has been known to make poor decisions, and any team in the NBA knows that. The only reason they would take him was to get rid of something they really didn't want. I'm not holding my breath until we trade Qyntel for something of value.

I think maybe they are just working to build an extra tight case maybe? I remember reading an investigator say that they want to make extra certain they have a case against Q before charging him, and that an investigation could take several months before they charge him... As much as I see that there's no solid evidence released yet, I think it's probably a bad thing for Q that it's taking so long, otherwise I think that a statement would have been made saying he's not going to be charged by now.
They probably have a hunch, but not enough evidence, and are being hush hush until they can find something solid before making fools out of themselves like those eagle county fellows.

Those Eagle County fellows didn't have a choice. When a grand jury says they have enough evidence to indict you don't have a choice as a prosecutor.
I'm not saying that Kobe wasn't boondoggled by that woah now...I mean that woman but the media and his notoriety played a part in the outcome of his case. I don't think everyone gets the same treatment or for that much would be put in the same circumstance.

If his name is cleared, I'm fine with him staying with the team as long as they feel he can contribute. Anyone can be accused of anything, and I'm glad the police are looking into matters to see if anything is there. I think it sets a very bad example for players and the fans that being accused of wrongdoing in Portland is enough to get you run out of town. There may be some legit gray area trust issues for management, and maybe he's not even good enough in their view, but if he is good enough and he has been living right and focused professionally, I think residual PR concerns over false charges should be overlooked as a show of good faith to these players (and future players) that the team won't bail out on them over false charges and hysteria.
Regardless of whether he's cleared or not, I'd be shocked if they could trade him for anything right now. It's either waive him or keep him.
