Well, I really hope all you Yankee haters are happy. What reason does everyone have for disliking them so much? Because they're winners? Because they have the highest payroll in professional sports? They haven't always had Steinbrenner's deep pockets.
I am saddened by this loss, but I can't make excuses like I do for POR. NY lost this series because they thought they had it in the bag. Congrats to Boston, but I really hope the fans don't go overboard on this one. Yankees fans included.
All I can say is...NY In '05 Baby!

Their lack of hits was astonishing..
It seemed like they have a great team,but no team chemistry.
I would love to know how Jeter and Alex get along.
They are my two favorite players..guess I have said that before.
The third was Ken Griffey til he became money mad..
I was kind of saddened when they kept flashing that no team
had ever done that before,they showed the NBA logo with the big
0..
It brought back alot of memories.
I would have taped the whole series if I had known how good
it would get.
Thank god I have the entire 7thgame..that is a doozzzzzy.
I have to get a DVD burner..

 I am exhausted today, but it's a VERY HAPPY exhuastion. Sorry but I don't feel bad for the Yankees, not one little bit.
This Red Sox team deserved this, they played with their entire hearts on the field, they beleived when everyone had lost the faith. Oh man I'm soooooo happy to be a Red Sox fan right now...they made me proud : )

I'm not even a baseball fan, but I was sucked into watching games 6 & 7... amazing! Nice to see the hated Yankee's get eliminated by the Red Sox.

As a huge Cubs fan, I love seeing the Red Sox make it to the Series again and get past the hated Yankees. The Cubs and Red Sox were sort of partners in the lovable losers category, and we sort of pull for each other.
Plus this sort of takes the Cubs off the hook for choking away the 2003 NLCS.
Now if the Cardinals can just eliminate the jerks from Houston.
A St. Louis/Boston series would be awesome. Go Sox.
