Did you guys expect an offseason to magically change DA and Damon into quality starters or shooters? Our weak back-court is the reason we'll only barely finish above 500 this season..if that.
DA and Damon, together, are a pretty bad starting unit. To have much sucess this season, Van Exel will have to be as good as his Dallas days.
Also, you board fans give Zach no respect. All you do is whine about his defense and clamor for him to be traded.

Personally I like the shortened lineup in preseason and not fooling around a lot with extra players
it gets the team focused on what they will be doing for the season, and gets individuals time to focus on their strengths/weaknesses and how they can help the team

34/17 and 0? Who does he think he is, Amare Stoudemire?
Zach pummeled our frontline tonight. He played like 40 minutes and abused everyone we threw at him. His defensive intensity is still lacking but offensively he is a menace.
Anderson and Stoudamire combine for 4-19 shooting. Some things never change.
Miles hit a three-pointer from the parking lot!
My boy Bosh was squashed tonight. Randolph just rolled-over him. An ongoing theme this season for the Raptors will be an inability to contain oversized forwards and centres... what else is new.
I wish Carter could've played more minutes tonight. He was doing well. I thought he would be geared-up to play his buddies, DA and NVE, and he looked enthused. But Mitchell played a 15-man rotation tonight so minutes were sparse.
Telfair left me wanting to see him play more.
Stepania, Pryzbilla... I thought the Raps had cornered the market on scrub centres! (recent Raptors grads include Greg Foster, Zendon Hamilton, and Nate Huffman)
Ruben's block was nice. What else did he do during the rest of the game, though?
Nice for Damon to get the W, though. In a pre-game interview he described the win over the Bulls in his rookie season as the highlight of his Raptors career. Good times.

If I remember right, Damon had some huge games against MJ and the Bulls in his rookie season with the Raps.

Yeah. The game he was specifically referring to was the one where the Raptors beat the unstoppaBulls 109-108 on March 24, 1996.

Yeah, the Bulls lost a total of 10 games that year, correct? And 2 of them were to the lowly Raptors. And one was to Milwauke at the end of the season. They could have been 75-8 easily. Oh well, that was a great season for the Bulls.

Same here! If nothing else it should get our key players in better game shape. We dropped a lot of gimme games in November last year - this can only help.

When you've got players like NVE, DA and Theo, who have spent a lot of time with restricted minutes and/or major injuries in the past few years, I don't think squeezing extra preseason time out of them is a good idea.
An injury to NVE would not be a big deal (I don't think that he's going to do much good this year, and I'd prefer Telfair get the backup minutes) but if Derek or Theo go down or get worn down, this team is in serious trouble.
