I won't dog him for this. Not a bad move. It's entirely image related. I'm sure his agent said:
"Do something to untarnish your name ... even if you've had nothing to do with them --- you've been linked to a shooting and dog fighting in less than a year."
This would be the result.
(of course, he probably asked the "drug-free" kids where to score some weed ... but that's another thing entirely... hehe)
Play.

Funny how you say "I wont dog him for this"... then proceed to do just that. Why cant a rich athlete do something just to help out some kids, without someone thinking he's doing it just to boost his image?

Saying the reason he probably did it isn't dogging him. I was kidding about the scoring some weed.
For whatever reason he did it - it was a decent move.

Zach could score 50 and pull down 30 boards and this guy would still hate on him...It's a shame we have fans like Play.

I don't think it is actually possible to "hate on" something. It isn't really something that can be "on" or "off". I can definitely HATE him though.
But ...
at the end of the day, I don't think Zach is that special of a player. He's good, but that's it. He doesn't exert any effort on defense and if he did, I wouldn't be so hard on him. But, then his offensive production would falter.
When I see him play I see a selfish player. For every good thing he does, he causes others to sacrifice their game.

I always thought of most of the regulars here Blazer fans in general, so what team are you a fan of?
Now it's a little funny watching two non-Blazer fans argue over Zach..

I'm not a fan of any team. In fact, I truly despise the sport and once the two guys I know leave the league, I'll be done with it.
That doesn't mean I don't understand the sport - I just think that of all the major sports - it has the highest percentage of knuckleheads.
Basically, I'm a fan of whatever team Shareef is currently playing for. I'll check in on McDyess and Wallace ever now and again - but Reef is my boy.

Well, I openly admit I have a grudge about Zach. His antics that were never made public and his attitude after Reef got there have really made me HATE (and I don't use this word lightly here) the man.
Further that with the fact that I just don't see an ultra-talented player ... and it leads to me dogging him.
It's quite simple really.
Play.

Amazing to me that someone who isnt really a fan of the sport would spend so much of his time posting on a message board dedicated to it.
