I remember reading on this board about a week ago that someone posted that D.A will miss the season opener, and asked for link to provide it, and never did. Well it looks like D.A. will be the starter come tommorrow.

Cheeks said guards Derek Anderson and Nick Van Exel, who missed Friday's exhibition finale in Seattle, are healthy and will play against Golden State. Also, Cheeks said the opening night starters will be Damon Stoudamire, Anderson, Abdur-Rahim, Randolph and Ratliff.

Great. Any guesses how long it will be before he's sitting out on the IR again?

Sorry. I'm just jaded when it comes to DA. We need him more than ever right now, and he's just not delivering. I'm not convinced we'll ever get a full 82 games out of him.

jaded to say the least. The season hasn't even started and "he's just not delivering."

I'm not ever convinced any player is going to play all 82 games before the season starts... especially since most don't. Derek did appear in 76 games for Portland all of two seasons ago. Hopefully he's got the upper hand on the back injury that he played through the 2nd half of last season, because Portland's 04 chances really do depend on him staying healthy.
