Ric Bucher just said on ESPN news that Ray Allen will be moved.
I know its been said taht we wont get him but i dont see the sonics having many options.....sar is the perfect fit and is basically the same salary!
I still think we get Ray Allen by the deadline.
Bucher also said taht he was at the sonics game and was in their locker room afterwards and that the feel was like a team in March whos 20 games back of teh playoffs! he also said Allen really wants out.....that has to be good for us!

Portland trades: PF Shareef Abdur-Rahim (16.3 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 2.0 apg in 31.6 minutes)
Portland receives: SG Ray Allen (23.0 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 4.8 apg in 38.4 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +6.7 ppg, -2.4 rpg, and +2.8 apg.
Seattle trades: SG Ray Allen (23.0 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 4.8 apg in 38.4 minutes)
Seattle receives: PF Shareef Abdur-Rahim (16.3 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 2.0 apg in 85 games)
Change in team outlook: -6.7 ppg, +2.4 rpg, and -2.8 apg.
TRADE ACCEPTED
Throw in a few 1st rounders, ......but why would Seattle want to trade with a division rival?
Pg : Damon
Sg : Allen
Sf : Miles
Pf : Randolph
C : Ratliff

Only downside to ray is the money he is demanding...Didnt he want like a 5-6 year for 100 million earlier? To me WAY to much, but at least we could rent him for this season

I feel that his demands are partly to get the sonics to trade him. Because he knows he's not going to get the $$ he is demanding, or even close, if he's a free agent.

Now that the season has started and we've been able to see both SAR and Zach in action, I wouldn't be opposed to trading either of them for Ray. With Allen at SG and Miles running the 3, we've got good offensive potential and our starting 5 will be among the most complete in the league.

sorry, the other much bigger downside is that the Sonics are in the same division and are unlikely to do a deal with Portland especially involving their best player. Though I and most Blazer fans would probably love to see Ray here, an interdivision GM moving his best player to a rival is risking career suicide in the short term. I'm sure someone in the Eastern conference can put together a package that they'd like as much as SAR.

We have talked about it...
Damon, Allen, Miles, Randolph, Ratliff would be fun to watch.
We could get a glimpse from last night, when NVE shots were falling.. it was nice!
I was/still am of the opinion Allen may indeed force Seattle to trade him by the deadline. We could be the benefactor. I think Rahim is a decent return for a team which is threatened with loosing a star player for nothing. Add in picks and cash may help. Maybe even extending Rahim prior to the trade

Is Seattle still talking to Toronto about a VC for Allen deal?

Ray is worth it I'd give him a max deal.
What SG is better? Kobe and TMac?
Even against those two Ray is a better Shooter then them. He will work better with a low post scorer (Zach) then slashers like Kobe/Tmac.
3rd best SG in the league, give him the max! If Zach is worth the max when he is almost a borderline allstar, when he is ~15th best forward in the game, then the leagues best Shooter 3rd best SG is definetly worth the max.
Boy I hope we could get him. If I we're the blazers GM I would trade anything the sonics wanted for Ray. SAR, Monia, Outlaw, Khyrapa, Telfair, a couple future 1st, JUST DO IT!

Ray is almost 30 years old and 100 million is IMO WAY to much, Kobe is also only 26, and T-Mac is 25. IMO you dont give a almost 30 year old 100 million..

Quick said once again today during his chat that there's absolutely no way we get Allen.
So maybe there's a chance...
