These 2 games coming up are really important for a few reasons. They are both road games and are both back to backs. They are also extremely winnable games,which is why I think they are so important. If we want to make the playoffs this year, we have to capitalize when we play a team with lesser talent. Every time we had a big game against a poor team, it seemed like we would lose. To see if we really are a playoff team, we will come out with intensity and drop the hammer down immediately. Don't even give the Nets or Celtics any hoipe of winning. And the best part is we'd be 4-1. I think anyone would take 4-1 with our first 5 games, because Golden State and Toronto always play us tough at thier places and you just never know with our guys.

This group of players really seems to like playing together, so some early success (on the road, no less) will really help solidify their chemistry. The taste of early-season success has a resonating effect on a team. It's a reward that immediately reinforces their hard work and focus. And the earlier a team feels it, the better IMO... ESPECIALLY when they get along well.

I'd love to see this season become a special one for the Blazers. And coming home 4-1 from this trip would be a great first step in that direction.
