Jack Nies must know that I disagree with his reffing style
This snowjob was even worse than the Denver game last year. Unbelievable.

This guy refs the games in anti scarlet glasses. Theo had ALL ball and what made it worse was the ref underneath said no foul but he called a foul from beyond mindcourt! The nRahim just gets raked across the forearms and no calls. We win the game imo if he makes the proper calls. On another note...why do we set up our posts 20 ft from the hoop?

Zach is trying to break down Boozer from near the 3pt line?? Is it because Damon doesn't know how to make a good entry pass? The blazers just play out of control sometimes. All the points they get are tough points inside. The other teams we play get open shots every game, but we seem to get none.

It has nothing to do with Damon, or any of guards, not knowing how to make a good entry pass. He made picture perfect entry passes plenty of times to Arvydas Sabonis, Brian Grant, Rasheed Wallace, Dale Davis, etc., in the past. Cheeks just has no idea how to coach this team on spacing and playing inside-out.

Of course at the time we also had guys who could bring the defense outside by hitting a jumper now and then. As is the other teams are packing it in and forcing us to set up further out.

also the rules were different than. Now you can sag off a bit and doesn't get called that easy with the zone.

What I don't get is the no-calls this year.
There seem to be an inordinately high number of them this year.
Reef/Randolph were fouled on a bunch of their shots tonight, but nothing. Blah.
It's frustrating.
Play.

As a blazers fan you get use to it. You almost get immune to no calls.
Even back in the Drexler years we never got the calls. Than I think Stern got pissed at our owner(the first before many )who spend tons of $ over the cap and we got the shaft ever since. No All-star game to Portland, our player never gets calls. National TV (prime time, ABC ect)
I don't even worry about it any more.

Official Jack Nies, who made the call against Randolph at the end of regulation, got in a shouting match with Blazers play-by-play announcer Brian Wheeler during the ensuing timeout.

Re: Wheels
mike rice kind of commented on that during the following play, on KGW.
And at the end of the game, Mo Cheeks and Nies were having a pleasant discussion regarding mother chickens or something.
btw, I'd like to see Mo be a little more animated like that during the games.

Re: Wheels
I could hear Wheels saying over and over the following 2 sentences:
"Horrible call. HORRIBLE call! HORRIBLE CALL!"
"You did it again. You did it again! You did it AGAIN!"
Something along those lines.
I didn't realize he was yelling Nies at the time though.
Oh well, at least he didn't get tossed like our friend Mike once did!

IMO ther has to be something done about nba reffaries(sp?)
they need to review refs on tape and if they consistantly make bad calls aginst certain players, teams , ect they need to take actian like they would if any other person associated with the league
There needs to be fines suspentians expultions to NBA officials
