...One thing that works for the Blazers is playing Sebastian Telfair. Yes, Damon Stoudamire hit the three-pointer to force overtime, but without Telfair Portland wouldn't have been in the position to tie. We need to get over the fact Telfair is only 19 and just accept the fact this kid is a very good player, a quality NBA point guard, and should possibly be the starter today. I really don't see Carlos Arroyo being able to stop him, but they might try and be more physical just to see how he responds.
Another thing that worked for Portland is the play of Shareef. He scored 19 points on only nine shots - seven of which he made. Matt Harping cannot guard him in the post and the Blazers made some bad decisions by not getting him the ball more. That's on Stoudamire and Telfair to find that advantage and exploit it. The only way Utah can counter that is if they play Boozer and Kris Humphries at the same time at the forward spots and they aren't about to do that.
I was a bit disappointed Mo did not play Outlaw more than 5 mins on Friday. I was just thinking with Darius out, he would have gotten more. Why? Because he and Telfair play pretty well together.
