Well Damon is one of the worst assist to fg attempt PG's in the NBA. So you can see why the players don't move without the ball because they are not going to get it.
Contrast that with the Bulls guards (Gordon, Hinrich and Duhon), they are not selfish at all. They all would prefer to get the easiest shot possible, be it a layup, mid-range jumper, dunk or 3. Damon is looking for his shot too much.
A lot of Portland's woes will be gone when he is gone. He's just not a good point guard. I didn't know guys got worse as they mature and get older in the NBA, at least from a perspective of understanding the game, but he definitely has. No concept whatsoever on how to keep guys working hard, because you share the rock.
