I wish everyone a very safe and blessed Christmas!
(and, for any Jewish folks on our board, Happy Go-To-The-Movies Day!)

BTW......
OK, this has NOTHING to do with Blazer basketball, but I found it to be interesting, nonetheless.....
Stores are becoming more and more disturbed about providing their own gift cards - especially around Chistmastime. You know why?
Because, when the cards are actually used "after" Christmas, much of the merchandise has been marked down and they lose a SIGNIFICANT amout of revenue. Dollars that would have otherwise been spent on higher-priced merchandise "before" Christmas.
Anywho, please don't bash me for posting this. It's Christmas Day!!
Go Blazers!!!

Merry Christmas, everyone!
Don't spend too much time on the internet today.......spend time with friends and family!
This has been a good basketball week for me:
Zalgiris beat its two main arch-rivals, Maccabi in the Euroleague and Rytas in the Lith League.
Sabonis celebrated his 40th Birthday with a lavish party of epic proportions and, oh, such European gifts....a sword, an admiral's uniform, a huge set of Russian nesting dolls of himself in the 5 or 6 different team unis he has worn over the years, a gold ring bearing the Kaunas coat-of-arms, a jeweled gold cup, etc.
Still no word on whether or not he will play again.....
Now time to get off of here and think about the rest of the preparations for dinner today. We have invited a few "Oregon refugees", friends who like us have mysteriously ended up in Idaho from the rainy Oregon Willamette Valley. Snowed earlier this week and although none is predicted today, the inch we still have on the ground is enough to qualify as a White Christmas......something I NEVER remember having growing up over there!
Have a great Christmas, everyone!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas
I played Heat-Lakers on PS2. I was Heat. Shaq had quad double and the Heat won in 2OT on a Person three at the buzzer.
Kobe had 71 pts.
