Portland makes a trade....Only if...
They are getting a young top prospect type of player, or a young budding star type of player....To me that rules out....
Any of the players involved in the 4 team deal mentioned...
Finley
Pierce
Carter
Kidd
Pretty much the only 2 players rumored or mentioned to portland that it allows are Redd and maybe Baron Davis.

I'll point out thought that they would also probably look at potentially high draft picks, with fillers, But I doubt they look at filler that lasts longer than next season.

So in other words, you think Portland isn't going to make any trades? If so then John Nash should be fired in my opinion.

The NY Post this morning said again the Toronto deal offered/counteroffered was
Carter/Rose for Rahim/DA
Portland insisted on them taking back DA if we had to take on Rose's contract
thus it fell through

I think Pierce would still be a good idea...

Nash said in his interview that he thought the Blazers were going to take the Indiana pacers aproach to rebuilding. Now I'm not sure about anyone else, but this scares me. Indiana got real lucky when some uninterested skinny kid was traded to them for an all-star Center. Portland needs to hope they find a "Jermain O'Neal" when they are making a trade, and that won't be esay.

WHat is the indiana Approach? I guess trading for young guys who are promising, but not fully established, but should at tleast be career role players, in hopes one or 2 pan out.....
BTW On what Nash was close to and did talk about 1 month and a half ago IMO probably is didfferent right now. Not based on team needs for now.
Here's why I think so. WHen I watch the team it is apparent to me that they truely will benefit from their youth movement.
Telfair, Outlaw, Miles, Pryzbilla and even Ha, look like a good core, and honestly at times the team plays better with the young guys in the game as opposed to the older guys.
I suppose if yuou can add Pierce then you do....Can you say 3 way trade with New Orleans?
