OT: Question about functionality of Basketballboards.net
I'm just curious if anyone else is having the same problem.
The last few nights, when I've been trying to participate in the game threads, I've gotten error messages about the server being too busy. Is anyone else getting these?
Goes without saying it's slightly annoying and difficult to have any continuity of conversation when you can't access the thread.
Not complaining, just curious if it's the board or if it's my connection.

The ISP that hosts the site has been having issues for a couple of months now. IT's not your setup.

Good question, Soda. It's (as Schilly stated) an ISP-related issue. The admins ARE aware of the situation, and they've been working to get it ironed out.

Hosting a large and active site isn't cheap, and bandwidth is always a precious resource even when you're paying through the nose for massive allotments of it.

Since I joined this board I've had problems with this site...You would think with all the "supporting members" donating 10 bucks a head...this place would run a little smoother.

10 bucks per supporting member a year... doesn't add up to much. In fact people whom pay for bandwidth know small sites with little usage just based on space can add up to $200 per month.

I wish we only paid $200 a month for server space... I bet BCH feels the same way! We are aware of the problems and have a plan in place for expansion.
If we had a few more supporting members... we could have expanded our bandwidth sooner!

Well, its good to know you all have a plan in place. We knew you were aware of it.
I am sure with as many people on this site it comes up a lot.
