OT: Karl to coach Nuggets?

Looks like there's a strong possability that George Karl will be snatched up by the nuggets to be head coach there.

For those who entertained the idea of him coming to Portland, looks like you can take him off your list now.

However...

...for those who entertained the idea of Phil Jackson coming to Portland, you just got a little more to hang your hopes on.

Denver and New York were both mentioned as possible destinations for Phil Jackson should he decide to give it another go, but it is known that Jackson doesn't relish the thought of a return to New York, and would prefer to live & work in the Northwest. And if Denver signs Karl...

So then for those of us that think Phillip Jackson is THE single most overrated coach in the history of sports this has to be a sad day.

Think of it as a challenge, posed by you to Phil to prove you wrong.

With that thinking we should bring in Ron Harper as our shooting guard. He won a lot of titles. Just like Phillip I'm sure it didn't have anything to do with Jordan, Pippen, Shaq or Bryant

DENVER (AP) -- George Karl was expected to be introduced as the coach of the Denver Nuggets at a news conference Thursday in Milwaukee.

The longtime NBA coach and the Nuggets worked out most of the details of a contract Wednesday night, a source close to the team said on condition of anonymity.

Karl could be on the bench Friday night for the Nuggets' game at the Bucks. The team announced it would hold a news conference Thursday but did not specify why.
