Clippers @ Blazers Game Thread (Fri january 28th 2004) Mos last game?
Tonight could very easily be cheeks last game as Blazers head coach and personally i feel like we will get a good idea wether he will call it quits by halftime!
If the team gets down by double digits and doesnt get back into the game, then I think they having giving up on mo and mo has given up on this team!
Im telling ya now....if we were to get blown out....mo will call it quits over teh weekend sice we dont play til Tuesday...this gae will tell alot about where cheeks is at mentally and where this team is at mentallly!
If we win id say he finishes the season cause to him...that would show this team is playing hard to save his job! But thats obvious!
Really this is a pretty important game for our franchises future in some way!
Heres my top 10 list of questions about tonight!
1. Will this be Cheeks final game?
2. Will Zach pout over limited minutes and play like crap?
3. What Theo will show up?
4. Does DA play or does....... "Where in the World is DA" become a board game, which is then sold at blazer games or given as a parting gift to season ticket holders?
5. Will Damon and Nick have "off"' nights?
6. Will telfair make more turovers then assists?
7. Will Blazer fans continue to scream "play bassy" after he then turns it over again?
8. Will there be over 3,000 people in the garden?
9. Will Joel be the next hack-a-shaq?
10. Will Darius Miles be seen at a Bugar King tonight in a hummer with his girlfriend?
Tune in....same Blazer time...same Blazer channel!

Don't forget 4 blocks. Also, Telfair had a very good game for such limited minutes, the kid produces anytime he plays.

Not at all, he IS going to be a star. I was the first one advocating the Blazers to draft Telfair before the draft, I was saying it 3 or 4 months before the draft and I predicted right. Telfair doesn't have to make shots to be productive unlike Damon, he makes the team play better by his presence alone.

wow, Theo had 7 blocks tonite.
I hope this signals the return to at least 3+ blocks a night for Theopolis.

Under normal circumstances, I would not call a 4 point win at home vs. the Clippers a "big win". But considering all the "manure" that has come down in the past day or two, and the fact that the Blazers started way down and came back...
Big Win
Unfortunately all I got was following the score on ESPN sports tracker so if anyone 1) was there 2) saw it on TV or 3) heard it on the radio and would like to provide a California girl with a recap it would be appreciated.

It ought to be Cheeks' last game...
I am sick & tired of watching this crappy team
The only joy is watching the young guys like Telfair, Outlaw and yes Miles.....Oh Pryzbilla has a few moments now and then, the rest of them I could care less if I ever saw them play again.
The only thing tonight proved was that the Clippers are bigger chokers than POR is, and that is saying a lot. They do have a better record though....thank god for our vets....

Great job clamping down on defense in the second half. The Clips only had 31 points until their garbage scores in the final minutes. Still a fairly ugly game (I almost fell asleep halfway thru the third) but any win at this point is a-ok.

Ruben...the team leader. Also, no GM would be stupid enough to fire a guy right after he was verbally abused. They will wait a bit if they are to do it.
