I will tell ya why..
Its because I am flat out sick of watching good post players float away from the basket to the outside, and fall in love with the jumper. He fails to work hard for interior position anymore. Last night was a little better, but what isn't better then like zero for 15 shots

I haven't turned my back on Zach. I think some people around here are too impatient and aren't willing to let Zach to play through his mistakes.

I think everyone in here needs a popsicle.
Here's whats wrong w/ the team in my opinion...
1) No true point guard
2) No true shooting guards
3) No true small forwards
4) 2 best players in the same position both injured or coming off injuries
5) 2 1-dimensional centers
6) Young guys w/ big paychecks
7) Old guys w/ expiring contracts
8) Bi-polar coach
I know some of you blame this season on Zach, but I beg to differ.

So Randolph is not at fault for the way he has played.
I thought you guys had a true point.
Also what is a true SG and a true SF?

The one and only reason the team should trade zach is because he could get us a star player in return.
And Mo is not Bi-Polar, he's just not a good coach.

Randolph has his faults but whenever Zach does go low, our Guards always fail to get him the ball because playing catch behind the 3 point line is much better.
Damon will never be a true point and Nick is more about his own shot than anything.

Well, what about what was spoken on earlier in this thread about him blocking teammates paths to the basket by running towards them to get the ball. Isnt Telfair a true point?

Telfair barely plays, and when he plays he tends to shoot more than pass.
Zach is our best player. Blaming him for wanting to get the ball is silly IMO.

So you condone as was stated which i have saw on a few occasions that I have watched Trailblazer games this season you have a player driving to the hoop and he pops out and impedes that players path to the basket which has caused them to miss the shot OK?

Do you think he gets almost ten rebounds a game, including over 3 a night offensively, by accident? I know you seem not to like him for some reason, but ignoring his positives isn't realistic.
Even if he DID do nothing except score the ball, that's a good reason for him to demand it. He not only will get baskets but he will get to the line (and hit his free throws at over 80%).
To answer your earlier question: I don't see him "impede" other players on their way to the hoop, causing them to miss their shots. It happens occasionally, but it happens occasionally to every player in the NBA, and especially every low-post player.
If Zach is in the key and demanding the ball, that's a GOOD thing. That's his office and where his team should get him the ball as often as possible.

Not at all, you have never once seen me say he wasnt a good player. As far as me not liking him for some reason, when and or where have I ever said, or implyed I didnt like him? I see him held to another standard that he shouldnt be, by some Portland fans. Thats me criticizing him and critiquing his game.

Thats quite alright. But hes had declining FG% the last 3 years and I see alot of other players being blamed for his statistics or lack thereof in some categories. Also what about the other aspects of the game?

For one I never see the premier post player in the NBA and I watch all San Antonio games, ever see Tim Duncan when he sees a player driving to the hoop see him step out and put his hands up calling for the ball. I have seen that everytime I have watched a Portland game this year and other Portland fans have spoke on it, I even had a thread about it when they played the Sixers.

a lot of fan (and coaching, apparently) opinion about the "problem" of Zach comes from recent history.
Zach's defense and poor passing are definitely in need of improvement, but they are incredibly glaring on this team b | |
