OT - R.Hamilton's cornrows making him some $$$
This from autoextremist.com, Feb 2, 2005:
"Detroit Pistons guard Richard Hamilton was paid to have his cornrow hair-style fashioned to look like the tread pattern of Goodyear's new Assurance TripleTred tire. The NBA star was paid a fee and given a set of free tires for the week-long stunt, but he's hoping it turns into a national endorsement gig with the tire company."
I cant help but laugh.

I'm wondering if this is even allowed. Players aren't allowed to wear say a headband with Nike on it. However, they are allowed to wear shoes as advertisments. Either way, I think its rather corny (no pun intended).

Remember back in 2000 when Sheed was going to get a temporary tatoo on his body advertising some candy or something?

The corn rows are ugly, and the tread-mark look is ugly, so who cares which one Hamilton goes with? Every time I see a guy with cornrows it looks like he's got snakes crawling all over his head.

I knew you were going to respond soon enough.
I'm sure liver spots are sexy to you right?

I don't see the connection between corn-rows (a fashion statement/something you chose to do) vs liver spots (not a fashion statement/something you really don't have much of a choice of doing/more for older people).
If you had said....Mullets, or mow-hawks, or that really dorky Punk Rock pointy hair thing

Why should I? It obviously didn't work for you.
