OT - So anyone here play VBookie?
I was just wondering if you have made any bets on VBookie on Basketballboards.net as of yet? Do you think that this will hurt the prediction games on the forums now that there is a way to increase your points via winning a bet on VBookie?
I would think that both would do great since you can win points on VBookie and win other prizes like tickets from the prediction games (atleast on the Portland fourm).
So if you bet on VBookie how much have you made or lost? Just wondering.

Yes, I play. I've been very streaky here are my stats (ignoring the NCAA tournament; I have some money on Lousvile but lost on a bunch of other teams)... heading into tonight:
Wins: 15 (7950)
Losses: 13 (-8200)
I started off 8-2, making mainly small bets. I've been less lucky lately.
Tonight, I lost 1000 when the Clippers failed to stay close in Cleveland. I've also got 1000 on the Lakers -4.5 at home against the Knicks.
It's fun. The way I started out, I thought I had it all figured out, but some close games have cost me big points.

Hmmm, I took you for the type of person that would bank the money, but playing those games making 1000 point bets sure is fun. To bad the bets are point for point, I would play some games that were long shots if it had higher odds. So far I have only seen odds on the "Who is going to Win......NBA Championship, Super Bowl, World Series......etc.

I've been banking a little here and there, but I don't know what I'd spend it on, so I haven't been saving aggressively.
I get the sense that non-1:1 bets are tough to do on single games. Futures are better for that sort of thing, or competitions like racing (cars or horses) where the field of competitors is larger than 2.

Good thing VBookie is fake money. I won 1600 on a Celtics game earlier then blew it all when Iowa State couldn't cover the 16 point spread vs. Carolina.
