I think it's mainly because he breaks down our offense too much. No one questions his defense or energy, but when he's in our offensive sets seem to go nowhere- or at least that the way it looks to me. It also could be because Wells is being showcased for a trade after the season.

It's true he's fighting something (the same thing as Dale?), but that only answers tonight's game. It does seem like he's been playing less of late. My guess is that BP's right on -- he's a lot like a black hole on offense. That said, he is generally willing to take it to the glass and often enough draws a foul. Given some of our other offensive tendencies of late (tonight being a nice exception) I could see Mr. Patterson getting more floor time again soon.

Not too long ago Patterson made a comment in the media that he didn't think Mo was using the bench as much as he should. Ever since then his minutes have gone steadily down until now he barely plays. There are those that believe Patterson's lack of playing time is an effort on the part of Mo (or maybe Bob telling Mo what to do) to keep people from complaining about minutes and Ruben just happens to be the sad example.

Maybe he is saving players for the big game against those pesky kids from Denver?

I have to agree with the thought that the bench seems like it could see more use. We arguably don't have any "A" players on this team (Kobe, Garnett, T-Mac....) but we have plenty of "B" players. A second unit of McInnis, Daniels, Patterson, Randolph, and Sabonis might win three games out of seven or eight against the first unit, especially in short stints. If our strength is our depth, let's run the other teams out of the building, pressuring the ball nearly the whole time. That's not necessarily a great game for Randolph or Sabonis but McInnis, Daniels, Patterson, and pretty much all of the starting unit should be all over hounding the ball.
That said, none of us are regularly seeing the players save at game time. It may be (in fact, I'd very much think and hope) that Mo's seeing all sorts of things we aren't that, if we knew about them, would make his moves seem more wise.

All good points.
Word is, DD, Zach, and Rubes are ill, but each made the trip. I guess we'll see.
