Where has our nice clamp down defense been the last 2 weeks..... and
boom shacka lacka lacka
it suddenly appears before our very eyes...
Do we leave in the bench?
or put back in the starters?
I vote .. leave them in...

Definitely not pretty but I'll take it!! Some great energy tonight by that second unit. Patterson may play outta control but he just makes things happen out there. With Minny holding off Utah, this was a must win.
Go Blazers.

Thanks to Antonio,Damon, and Ruben we won this game. Thank you bench, you were a bright spot tonight, while our starters looked lifeless out there. I gotta give you your props Cheeks for leaving the bench in while during the run. We did get very lucky though tonight with Daniels' shot clock beating 3 and Ruben's steal, and Zach's put back. We really do need better ball movement. I was pretty close with my prediction of PDX 88 Denver 86. It was 94(off by 6) 84(off by 2). THANK YOU LORD WE DIDN'T TRADE DAMON OR DANIELS
TWO WORDS:

What are you talking about???? Whenever Mouse has come off of the bench, he has produced, he deserves MAS minutes. He is the perfect bench player, he is instant offense. I have always had love for Damon.

What's this? The Blazers actually outscored their opponents in the 4th quarter?
What a concept....

Yeah, he means instant offense all right - for the other team!
Seriously, he's had some games where he's done alright coming off the bench, but I don't think he's earned any more minutes than what he's getting.
For example, Daniels certainly outplayed him tonight. Do you want to give AD's minutes?
And you're certainly forgetting some of Damon's recent performances:
Against the Warriors - 17 minutes, 1-5 from the field and 3 turnovers
Against the Bulls - 21 minutes, 1-6 from the field and 4 points
Against the Jazz - 20 minutes, 2-9 from the field
And I could go on....
And remember this - how awful the team looked in the early part of the year with him "running the show" at PG. AND remember that he is a serious defensive liability when he is on the court.
Hey, he had a nice shooting game tonight. Good for him, and good for the Blazers. But I don't think he deserves more time than he's getting.
