Does anyone think that Payton would come to Portland (whom he was reported to want to go to) by signing a Mid level exception ?
the theory would be IMHO to sign him at $4.5 mill (approx.. TBD)to start and run the contract to max 7 years... with max raises... all guaranteed money...
if he decides to retire after a few years.. he is still paid. and gets a return value on his money. Raising his played years in PDX to a higher $ level.
or
by a sign and trade with the Bucks?
