Where's Jason Quick?

I've noticed that it has been Beseda writing the Blazer articles for the past several games, and Quick wasn't next to Wheels and Rice during the game on Sat. Arnold also did the chat for oregonlive on the 6th. Is it wishful thinking that maybe he has moved on, or is he just on vacation? It seems that in Beseda's articles, there isn't such a negative slant, especially against Sheed. When I read Quick's articles, I notice that there is always something written about everything but the game itself. Anyway, anyone know?

I was wondering the same thing.....

Seems like several weeks ago during one of the chats with Kevin Cosgrove (or whatever his name is...)something was mentioned about Jason Quick not being available so some other guy would be filling in for him. That was maybe 3 or 4 weeks ago and we haven't heard from Jason since.

Something tells me this is more than a long vacation........What the explanation is, however, is anyone's guess.

Health problems? Personal or family problems? Job problems? Who knows? Probably, we will never hear the real reason. Although I personally don't care for his style of reporting, I hope this absence is not due to something really serious like with his health or his family.

Something must be going on. He's missed the last 3 Thursday Chats. I haven't seen a column by him on O-Live in the last 3 weeks.

And no, I don't believe it's a vacation. Why would the Oregonian give their Blazer beat writer a 3 week vacation in the middle of the season? He gets his vacations when the players are off - during the summer.

CFFI is right - we'll probably never hear the real reason. But my fear is that it's something health- or family-related.

http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/jason_quick/index.ssf

I just went to OLive and Jason Quick is unavailable though they are still listing him. March 13th will be a live chat with Arnold and apparently AtlantaBlazerMan will give his take on Rasheed Wallace.

Has anybody ever gotten famous from posting a lot on fan forums before? Or is ABM the first?

Just noticed that Jason Quick is listed as the author for the article titled: "This edition of Blazers a winner".

Guess he's back at the job...

yeah... it was a family emergency. Kevin didn't go into any greater detail. Reading the "This edition.." article now... glad he's back, if for no other reason, more perspectives are better - just like on the boards.

Where's the rest of the article? I seem only to be getting page one of it.
