Dude, that is one BIG dog! Supposedly, they almost went extinct in WWII because no one could afford to feed them. Maybe they were on the menu?

I wonder if that is related to the Bichon Frise? The name is close and the hair is a bit different but they look similar as well. Maybe it is a sign.

Yep they are related. The Bichon Bolognese is a rare toy breed from the Bichon group. Whereas the Bichon Frise are from France/Belgium, the Bichon Bolognese is from Italy.
